UAE Digital Photography Exhibition

UAEU DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION

More than 40 digital photographs taken by male and female students of the UAE University will be on display from the 13th to the 26th of September 2009 at the Ghaf Gallery in Abu Dhabi. This unique exhibition is the result of student participation in a recent series of master classes in digital photography by visiting artists-in-residence, Bruce West and Gwen Walstrand of Missouri State University. Mr. Simon Bold assisted the students with the digital printing. This event is part of the Seminars in Mastering the Arts (smART) hosted by the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, with the generous support of the Abu Dhabi Music and Arts Foundation (ADMAF). Students oversaw all aspects of the production of their art, from initial idea to final printing. The photographs show a wide range of subjects, topics, and perspectives while demonstrating students' creativity and skills.
